There is a minimum of two choices offered for the midday and evening meals, with an alternative menu and snack options if you don’t want either option. You can also make an individual request for what you would like to eat and staff will strive to accommodate this.

Protected Mealtimes

In line with best practise, the Care Home has a protected mealtime policy. This means that every effort is made to stop all non-essential activities and visitors during meal times so you have the opportunity to relax and eat your meal in your own time in a calm environment. Staff will focus on ensuring the environment is conducive to the enjoyment of your meal. The Dining rooms are designed for a pleasant, homely eating environment with no more than four people to a table.

Social Time

Meal times are important as a social function too, so meal times offer a chance to interact with other residents and staff. Significant events and activities will be marked with special meals, for example Burns Supper, birthday buffets. Eating should be a pleasure to look forward to every day, and an enjoyable meal time experience will aid your nutrition and health.
