Activities

The central principal in all our activities is valuing the individual and addressing the activity to their needs. Their physical and mental well-being should be enhanced by all the activities they participate in. The start of the process is when we create a personal activity plan which details the likes and dislikes of the resident.

When creating an activity plan we try to have a range of activities for everyone to be involved in. This ranges from individual one-on-one activities to group activities. Weekly group activities sheets are displayed within the care home, and individual activities are detail within the care plan. Every activity that the resident is involved with is documented within the activity plan, which is used to ensure that their needs are being met.

Meals

Meals are very important, and we do everything we can to make sure they are enjoyable. The menus are created with input from the residents and are prepared to be both tasty and nutritionally balanced.

If you want you can have your meal(s) in your room, and we are able to provide a breakfast in bed service. We are able to cater for a wide range of special diets and preferences.

Lounge and Dining

There are a wide range of lounges and dinning areas within the home which are available for everyone to use.

Gardens

There is a large garden to the front of the care home. There are dedicated planting areas where residents can utilise their green thumbs.

Visitors

We have an open door policy to visitors with one exception, during mealtimes. This policy, called protected mealtimes, allows all our staff members to focus on providing help and support to our residents. We would ask that you arrange any visits to the home outside this time.

Protected Mealtimes

  • Breakfast: 08:00 - 10:00
  • Lunch: 12:00 - 13:30
  • Dinner: 16:30 - 17:30
